Paula Mills

Paula Mills is a local Melbourne artist who works from observation in her home studio in Yarraville. Originally from South Africa, Paula studied Commercial Art and Design in Cape Town which lead to a career as an art director in London before immigrating to Melbourne in 2007.

Paula works in a variety of mediums including oils, watercolour and ink. Her art practice is based on the idea that art is nourishing. She is influenced by the different countries in which she has lived, drawing inspiration from the every day beauty in nature, pattern, and colour. Paula strongly believes that creativity brings encouragement, hope and joy and that it should be embraced and shared in our everyday lives.
