MAISON JACQUES - GWENDA MCDOUGALLForman Art & Framing
MAISON JACQUES, which translates to Jack’s House, is Gwenda McDougall’s dream summer house.
It’s occupied by two Jack Russells and filled with designer fabrics and furnishings. Each piece of decor you see in the house was inspired by real world designers.
Gwenda drew from Kit Kemp’s ‘Friendly Folk’ fabric while painting the cushions, the wallpaper was inspired by a Madeline Weinrib design, the white Hamptons mirror with nail trim is from Cromwell Australia and the inimitable orange ‘H’ blanket is, of course, from Hermes. This painting features a wall sconce shade and an ottoman from Tigger Hall’s ‘Nine Muses Textiles’ and a bespoke lampshade from Cashmere Turtle.
A few of Gwenda’s favourite things.
